A resident of Kiskiminetas Township, Mr. Magness was afforded the opportunity to work in his home district of Apollo-Ridge as Middle School Principal. Shortly after arriving, Mr. Magness also became High School Principal for the district.
Mr. Magness is a graduate of Kiski Area High School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Westminster College after majoring in History and minoring in Political Science, as well as Secondary Education. Mr. Magness returned to Westminster College to complete work in the Superintendent’s Program, receiving his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility and certification for Intermediate Unit Executive Directorship.
As Assistant Superintendent, Magness will primarily serve in the roles of curriculum coordination and development, staff development, Federal programs coordination, supervision of district guidance program, testing coordination, and strategic planning, among others.
