Chemistry teacher for long-term substitute position at Saltsburg Middle/High School to beginning in March 2012, possibly through the end of the 2011-2012 school year. Secondary Principal - Blairsville-Saltsburg School District (Indiana County).  Principal for a grades 6-12 building with approximately 450 students.  Must have successful experience as a secondary principal with strong instructional leadership and problem-solving skills. Candidate should possess knowledge of data-driven school improvements, secondary school curriculum and instruction, knowledge of technology and its role in education, demonstrate skills in supervision of staff, time management skills and ability to develop positive rapport with students, staff, family and community. Substitute Support Staff:  The district will accept applications for substitute support staff in the categories of:  cafeteria aide, secretary, instructional aide, custodian and maintenance.  Applications are available at the district office, or by calling 724-459-5500, ext. 8 1101.

Substitute teachers needed in all subject/certification areas. Letters of interest/application packets accepted in the office of the superintendent, should include: standard PA application, copy of certificate, copy of transcripts, resume, current clearances (Act 24, 34, 114 & 151), letters of professional references..

Have a Bachelor’s Degree?  Interested in day-to-day substitute teaching in area schools?  A teaching certificate is NOT required, and you can earn approximately $75-90/day! The Blairsville-Saltsburg School District is participating in the ARIN IU 28 Guest Teacher Consortium.   The Guest Teacher Program provides training and emergency substitute permits to allow anyone who has a Bachelor’s Degree (but does not have a teaching certificate) to be a substitute teacher for districts in the consortium.
